INTRODUCING:

Coroico is located to 112 km from La Paz in the Yungas which is a transition zone between the highlands and rainforests of the Amazon, so it has a warm temperate climate, has a very clean air and is rich in oxygen.

It is famous for the beauty of its landscape, its tranquility and for the road to access there, internationally very well known as the Death Road, for the precipices, dense vegetation and narrow parts which leads this road.

The access road to Coroico is further composed of several ecological zones and the views you have from this town are amazing, with scenic roads to the hills, nice restaurants and bars and sightseeing tours to waterfalls, citrus plantations, coca and rural communities of friendly people.

If you are interested in visiting the subtropical zone, the Yungas or wet area, this tour offers someone a great opportunity to enjoy the gateway to the Amazon.

PROGRAMME:

We start the tour at 08:30 hours when we pick you up from your hotel / home, aboard our exclusive vehicle.

Then we continue towards the summit of road at 4.700 m.s.n.m./15.400 feet above sea level, along the descent ahead awaits us breathtaking views of various ecosystems and landscapes we will enjoy the view of snowy mountains, llamas, alpacas, birds, Andean gulls and wild ducks in the lagoons formed by the melting snows of this sector. Continuing the journey will observe other ecosystems properly of the altitude, as the cloud forest, waterfalls and vegetation that becomes more abundant to the entry of the subtropical zone with multicolored flowers birds and butterflies flitting in this wetland. We will make some hikes on the road. After 4 hours we arrive at the 1.200 m.s.n.m./4.000 feet.

The first 18 kilometers are asphalt and the rest of the 43 kilometers we travel is dirty road with sharp curves, steep hills, dramatic drops, vegetation and waterfalls.

Throughout the journey we will make several stops to take memorable photographs.

After lunch, we will return on the new road and on board our vehicle to the city of La Paz to be there around 17:00 hours.
